Take the booking while the caller is still talking.
The grid is the park. Two people can work it at once, nights and hours sit on it together, and the server checks the whole thing again before anything is saved.
Drag across a few empty nights on any row to take a booking.

The desk on the days that count.
Not the quiet Tuesday. The Friday where the phone rings while two people are standing at the counter.
Kayaks and pavilions live here too.
A family at the counter wants a kayak for the afternoon and asks whether the guided hike still has room. You book both without changing pages.
When nobody turns up, CampGuide marks the no show at your nightly cutoff and puts the kayak back on the board.

The total, before they say yes.
The caller wants the number first. Price the exact stay with the extra campers, the pet fee and the tax by authority, then read the lines back in the order they were applied.
When you save the booking, the server prices it from scratch again, so the number you said on the phone is the number on the folio.
See a pricing question answeredAdd a night, or another camper, and watch every line re price.
Whether the site is actually ready.
The cleaning state of a cabin shows on the same bar you book on, so nobody at the desk has to walk over and ask housekeeping before promising an early arrival.
When you check a guest out of a cabin it lands on tomorrow’s list. RV sites are left alone, because nothing needs cleaning between guests.
See housekeepingOpen a status dropdown and walk a site through to clean.
A Saturday at the desk.
Six moments from one day, and what the grid was doing during each of them.
Last night's cutoff sorted the day into arrivals, departures and who is staying on, before anyone unlocked the office.
A caller likes A2 but needs to ring their spouse. The hold reads as a hold, not revenue, and drops on its own at six.
Both booked on the hourly timeline in the same minute, with the waiver status showing on each.
Dragged across three nights, green the whole way, priced on the server and visible to the other person at the desk immediately.
An $18 store charge nobody mentioned, caught while the guest was still standing there.
No shows marked, your cancellation policy applied, and the sites back on the board for tomorrow's walk ins.
Twenty six things the desk stops doing by hand.
Every one of these is on the grid already. None of them needs a phone call to us to switch on.
26 things listed right there. Ask about any of them and we will show you it working on your own park, not on a slide.
When someone else takes a booking, your grid updates. Two people can work the desk without stepping on each other.
Before anything is saved, CampGuide re prices it and checks it again, so the same site never gets sold twice.
Nightly sites and hourly rentals sit side by side, so the kayak does not need a calendar of its own.
What you get.
Drag to book
Drag across the nights and the bar tells you as you go. Green means take it, amber means look first, red means it will not let you.
Holds and closures
Put a hold on a site and CampGuide drops it at six when the caller does not ring back. Close a site and nobody books on top of the plumber.
Best fit assignment
When a guest books a site type instead of a number, CampGuide picks the site that will not leave you a one night hole.
Checked before it commits
Before a checkout goes through, CampGuide checks the balance, the card, the agreement and any open orders, and stops you if one is off.
How operators actually use it.
Short walkthroughs of a real situation, start to finish.
Questions operators ask.
Can two people take bookings at the same time?
Yes. The grid updates live, and the server re checks availability before anything commits, so the same site cannot be sold twice.
What happens if a guest never arrives?
Set a nightly cutoff and unconfirmed arrivals are marked no show after their date passes, your cancellation policy is applied, and the site frees up for walk ins.
Can I still assign sites by hand?
Always. Best fit placement is the default for site type bookings, and you can lock a guest to a specific site and release that lock from the grid later.
