The boat decides the slip, not the person at the counter.
Length, beam, draft, air draft and the amps it needs, compared against the slip and its water depth. A slip with a missing spec is never offered.

A marina beside a park, or a marina on its own.
Either way the rules are unforgiving, which is exactly why they belong in the software.
Find a slip before you promise one.
Pick the marina, the boater and the dates, and the search returns only the slips the vessel actually fits and that are genuinely free for those nights. The fit check is deliberately all or nothing.
Two overlapping bookings on the same slip are refused by the database, so a racing approval gets a clear message rather than a conflict you discover in August.

Seasonal tenants, not just transients.
Season and month leases with renewal offers, metered shore power read at the start and the end, and the agreement signed on a phone and stored against the boat rather than in a folder.
Insurance and registration expiries are digested before the boat arrives, so the conversation happens on the phone in March instead of on the dock in June.

Six steps, and the check that happens at each one.
Length, beam, draft, air draft and amps, with a card already on file.
Water depth included, and any slip missing a spec is excluded.
Or auto approve if you want the queue running hands off.
When a slip frees, one boater at a time gets a time boxed offer.
Insurance and registration live on the boat, and expiries were digested in advance.

Requests arrive with the vessel details and a card already on file. Assign a fitting slip and approve, and the payment is taken then. Auto approve if you want it hands off.

When a slip frees up, the queue gets a time boxed offer, one boater at a time, and accepting takes the saved card.

Insurance and registration sit on the boat, not in a folder, and you get a digest of what is expiring before the boat arrives.

Can a boat be double booked?
No. Two overlapping bookings on the same slip are refused by the database, so a racing approval gets a clear message rather than a conflict you find in August.
What if we do not have depth for every slip?
Then those slips are not offered. The fit check is deliberately all or nothing, because a guess about under keel clearance is not a guess worth making.
Can we run a marina without a campground?
Yes. A marina can sit beside your sites or be the whole property.
How does shore power get billed?
Flat, or metered. On metered slips a reading is taken at the start and the end of the stay and the difference posts to the folio at checkout.
