Knowing the day needs you before you unlock the office
It is 6:58 on a Tuesday, and you have not opened your laptop yet. The email already sitting in your inbox says whether today needs you or whether it runs itself.
How it goes.
It goes out before you're up
Arrivals, departures, how full you are tonight, who still owes a balance, and any work order holding a site off the board, built from what actually happened overnight rather than a report you have to run.
A short email means a quiet day
Four lines instead of twelve is itself the news: nobody owes money, nothing is broken, and the board is where it should be for a Tuesday in July.
A long one tells you where to start
Two balances, a work order on site 12, and six arrivals before noon. You open the day already knowing the first three things to do, rather than finding them one at a time at the desk.
What changes.
