Can guests add a tour to a campsite booking?

Two seats added in July, Saturday 9 a.m. picked the week before.

A published experience can be offered as an add-on at online checkout, right alongside firewood and ice. The guest picks a specific session while booking, or defers and picks the time later from their Stay Pass. Either way the charge posts to the same folio as the stay, so there is one bill at checkout instead of two.

Where does the tour show up at checkout?

In the add-ons step, beside the bundle of firewood and the bag of ice. Turn it on per experience, so a private staff-run session never appears in a guest's cart by accident.

The guest sees the tiers and the price the same way they'd see it on the public page, because it's the same experience record underneath.

What if they don't know which morning yet?

They defer. A guest booking a July weekend in March often has no idea whether Saturday or Sunday will be the good weather day. Forcing the choice loses the sale more often than it helps.

Deferred seats are held against the order. When the guest picks a session from their Stay Pass, the seats attach to that session and the roster updates. Until then the office sees the booking as unslotted, so a guide isn't planning for people who haven't chosen a morning.

Where does the charge land?

On the folio for the stay. The tour reads as its own line beside the nightly rate and the pet fee, and it settles at checkout with everything else. Refunds and cancellations reverse against the same folio, so the money moves in one place.

Can they book more once they arrive?

That's the "Sell in the Stay Pass" switch, set per experience. A guest who checks in Friday can browse open sessions on Sunday morning and take two seats on the paddle without calling the office.

Everything they hold shows in "My bookings", however it was booked, and they can pull a ticket back up for 24 hours after checkout. Passes included with a stay show there too, marked as included, with no zero-dollar line cluttering the folio.

A concrete version: a family books three nights in July and adds two kayak seats at checkout. They defer the time. The week before arrival, one of them opens the pass and picks Saturday 9 a.m. The roster for that session goes from 8 to 10 without anyone at the office touching it.

Included passes work the same way in reverse. Flag a pool pass as included with waterfront cabins, and a cabin guest sees it as included while a tent-site guest is still offered it for sale.

Worth checking.

  • Which experiences are offered at checkout and which stay staff-only
  • Whether deferring a time slot is allowed, and how long a deferred seat can sit unslotted
  • Which site types or classes get a pass included with the stay
  • Whether the same experience should also sell inside the Stay Pass mid-trip

Questions operators ask.

No. It rides on the same order and folio as the stay, so the guest sees one total at checkout.
